Lee Maddox, D.D.S., J.D.

Founder of Maddox Healthcare Law

Dr. Maddox received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Southern California in 1987, his certificate in Endodontics from the University of Southern California in 1989, and his board certification in Endodontics in 1995. Dr. Maddox received his J.D. degree from Whittier College of Law, Costa Mesa, California where he graduated in the top one-third of his class.

Dr. Maddox practiced Endodontics and maintained two offices in Orange County for nine years. During this time, his endodontic practice experienced a 700% increase in production during this nine year period. Dr. Maddox has served as a clinical instructor at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and Loma Linda School of Dentistry.

 

Dr. Maddox has been providing legal services to Dentists for over ten years, helping thousands of doctors with their transition needs as well as general legal services. He has been in the dental transition business as a Practice Broker since 2010. After three successful years as a dental practice broker, Maddox Practice Group was acquired by Henry Schein PPT, the dental practice transition division of Henry Schein Dental, in February, 2013. After over 5 years as Vice-President and Regional Director for the western United States for Henry Schein, Dr. Maddox retired from Henry Schein and has re-opened his law practice. Dr. Maddox now enjoys practicing law full time in Costa Mesa and helping dentists, veterinarians and medical professionals.

Shannon Blackmon is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, highly trained in financial planning and investment management. Shannon enjoys co-creating custom financial plans with her clients’ well-being at the center. Guiding them through a comprehensive wealth management process, she provides insights into cash flow, net worth, risk management, investments, and philanthropic goals.

 

Shannon earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona and her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University. Matthew Christie

Sr. Regional Director of Practice Finance

Matthew Christie is a Senior Regional Director of Practice Finance in Southern California for Provide. He is a dedicated Health Care representative for the company in the medical professional field working with Dentists, Veterinarians and Medical Doctors who are looking to acquire, start, or refinance a practice. Matthew is also able to facilitate commercial real estate loans in conjunction with a practice.

 

Matthew joined the Provide in 2019 with an extensive background in small business lending, owner user commercial real estate, and franchise finance. In his current capacity, Matthew is often a guest speaker at many of the local dental schools where he educates students on business plans, personal credit, and budgeting. He has also been a speaker for The California Dental Association, where he lectured to dentists looking to acquire and grow their practices. Matthew has been a consistent top performer throughout his career.

 

Mathew holds a degree in Economics from California State University, Sacramento and currently resides in Newport Beach, California.

Whitney is the founder of The Tharaldson Group, Inc., the premier brokerage serving dentists and doctors, located in Newport Beach, California.  Whitney has worked on hundreds of transactions in the competitive southern California dental practice transitions arena since 2011 and has forged many valuable relationships with buyers, sellers and industry professionals. Whitney is very successful in completing her ultimate goal: appropriately matching buyers and sellers for a seamless transition and satisfied clients.

Whitney has spent the majority of her career and life immersed in the dental and real estate industry and thus has a unique and well rounded perspective.  Whitney has worked in several dental practices, has worked for Henry Schein as a Field Sales Consultant and was the company's first Business Consulting Specialist and as a dental practice and commercial real estate broker for over 10 years.  Whitney is also the daughter of a dental attorney and dentist and is a third generation real estate broker.  Due to her vast experience, she is well suited to provide her clients with the best possible experience.

Whitney holds a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne. Whitney also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Long Beach State University with a major in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication Studies and a minor in Chemistry.
